It expired in about January of 2021, but people still try to use it.
Some stores still accept it, but not too many. Just like a lot of
stores still accept the race card, but it doesn't buy nearly what
it used to.

Main reason it didn’t work in Virginia is that Youngkin ran away from
Trump. Most of the GOP doesn’t seem to have learned that lesson, so I
wouldn’t underestimate its effectiveness in future races. However what Dem
campaigns need to learn is that it’s a tool, but an all-purpose tool and
not the only one in the toolbox.
