I met a man on a cross-country train who was from there. He told me his country, I looked confused, he told me the old name and I went "--------!", mangling the pronunciation of the largest city. He laughed, which was very polite of him.

Playing worldle and globle has helped me a little with geography but has pointed out where my weak spots are. Like this continent, that continent, this other one...I'm fairly strong on North America, at least.

The portion of North America that consists of Caribbean island nations is probably tough for a lot people.

I graduated in 1986, and I remember writing a paper on that country my senior year for a geography class.
