(a) Joe steps down
(b) Kamala becomes President
(c) The Republicans in the House reject anybody she nominates as Vice-President (and it takes both houses to confirm a VP nominee - 25th Amendment, Section 2)
(d) Meanwhile, the Republicans in the House vote for a new Speaker - Trump; there is nothing in either the Constitution or the Rules of the House that says that the Speaker has to be a Representative
(e) Something, er, "happens" to Kamala
(f) With no VP, the Republican Speaker of the House - Trump - becomes President

Trump also, with his bleating today, has pumped another situation into the scenario.

(a) Republicans, at minimum, take the House by a margin larger than the Democrats would have the Senate.
(b) With the number of states which now refuse to recognize Joe Biden as President in their Republican platforms, a demand to reconvene the entirety of the Congress for the debate of the revocation of the consent given on January 6th (or was it early January 7th after the riots?), 2021.
(c) With the House now firmly in control of the process because of the number of members, the consent is revoked, at which point, a complete vacancy situation triggers and the Congress "may by law provide for a case" (20th Amendment, if neither a President nor a Vice-President shall have qualified) for a do-over election, with the Speaker of the House named at least an Acting President of the United States through the succession process.

(Which, of course, also begs the question that the entire House of Representatives, at minimum through 1/2/23, and perhaps forward in many states, would be invalid on it's face.)
