This past weekend I found an unopened bottle of Ballantine's liqueur blended Scotch whiskey. I know it has been sitting on the shelf in a garage for more than ten years. Could be longer.

How / where can I find the distilled date.

Other thoughts or ideas on it's quality vs other more well known brands. I've tried various brands in the past but scotch just doesn't tickle my taste buds.

Leave it un-opened? It's just curiosity asking. You can see that some has been lost because the bottle isn't full.

If it’s evaporated that much, it will be absolutely terrible to drink. Probably wouldn’t kill you, but I’m no expert.

I wouldn't call blended scotch real scotch. Looks to be in the 20 a bottle range. If you're not paying $80 - $100 a bottle I wouldn't expect much. My favorite is Lagavulin 16. There is so much variety in Scotch it's like shopping in a candy store.

No idea. I'd just check to see if it has any trade-in
value toward the purchase of a bottle of
Irish whiskey. (Except Bushmills because the Brits distill it
with canal water and don't hire any Catholics at all.)
