At this point it looks like America will win
this coming Tuesday's mid-term election
and the Republicans will take back control
of the House! That means we can finally begin
to defend ourselves against the massive damage
that has been inflicted on us by the radical left wing
Biden administration. And, we will finally
see Nancy Pelosi's vile dishonest old butt
kicked to the curb!

It is too early to predict the election out come in the Senate
but we can pray that the Republicans win control
there as well. That would truly be a blessing for all
working class American citizens. And the evil, lying
crooked sleaze bag Chuck Schumer would also be
kicked to the curb where he can rot with Pelosi!

But even if the Republicans only win the
House it will still be a wonderful day for America!

There was a time when having both houses of Congress controlled by the party not in the White House was a reasonably good thing.

Maybe if whoever is the new Speaker of the House at least bends the Hastert rule, America may "win," but if the Republicans do also control the Senate and are able to force a rich-and-corporations-friendly budget onto Biden's desk, does he sign it, or are we in for who knows how many months of "continuing resolutions" or even an outright government shutdown?

I'd actually go further and shut it down January 3, with the demand Biden be ousted. Forget impeachment, because you won't get the 67 conviction votes.

The only way the government shuts down on January 3 is if there is another Continuing Resolution passed that runs out on that date. Right now, unless the current Congress either gets a budget passed or kicks the can down the road again, the government shuts down at midnight on December 17 (i.e. one second after 11:59:59 PM on 12/16).

In the span of a few days, he called Kamala Harris a “great president,” got disoriented at an event on the White House lawn, claimed that his student loan giveaway was a law passed by Congress not his own executive order, misstated the name of Britain’s new prime minister, suffered another embarrassing teleprompter failure, appeared to nearly drift off into sleep during a TV interview, got confused about how to exit a stage he’d climbed up just moments before.
A neutral press would be demanding answers from the White House about Biden’s condition. They be talking to experts about the grave risks of having a president suffering from dementia in charge. They’d have their pollsters ask the public about its concerns with Biden’s mental health.

Two small problems with that.

First, as has been explained to you over and over, Congress has no authority to "rescind consent" - at least, not without changing the laws, which would require Biden's signature, which obviously isn't going to happen. Besides, do you honestly think that even one, much less five, Supreme Court justices would allow it? Every college outside of "the 32 attached to NFL teams with players drafted out of high school and not allowed to transfer except through the NFL trade process" dropping football except as whatever it is you define as "a club sport" (and if that means "no scholarships," then every NCAA Division III football team is already a "club team") is a done deal compared to this.

Second, "shutting down the government" doesn't shut down Congress, or the Executive branch - if they rescind Biden and Harris before January 3, then Nancy Pelosi is acting President. Otherwise, how could the Congress pass a budget that ends the shutdown if Congress itself is shut down?

Gorsuch is a probable fifth. Roberts, far less so, but may be "coerced" (as in, he gone or worse if he doesn't -- 2025 if not 2023!).
