There were apparently a couple of big bets placed in Cincy -- AGAINST Alabama, and the guy was talking to the coach the whole time.

Lol....no, I don't follow college baseball.

One thing about the 'splashy bets on the big games'.....some of that is just posting bias. I do sometimes play lesser games in college football(like MAC or sunbelt games), but I know nobody here would really care about those teams/games for the most part anyways so they aren't as likely to be posted. but yes I probably do tend to play the splashy games more because I like to watch those games more as well.

But this is definately a risk with the lesser paid coaches in sports that are still on lots of books. It's unlike a saban or oats would
do this sort of stuff because they make so much money, but this guy was making what.....4-500k maybe? And trust me if you're only making 4-500k and it's not a super safe job(like if he has a bad few years couldn't those types be gone?) depending on your situation you do have concerns about bills, are you saving enough money, paying for kids colleges, probably can't afford a nice vacation home, etc. I know because there is a big difference comfort wise and security wise between what I make the last 2-3 years and what I was making earlier in my career before I got some of the contract/revenue sharing options. So what he did was definately wrong, but I can see how he did it....

That's why some of us are having real concerns -- because the word we were getting later that day was that this wasn't the first such game in question..

One of the reasons (with full compense to the players) there should not be a baseball program at Alabama for the rest of the year.

Me and 95% of hardcore alabama football fans couldn't care less if there is an alabama college baseball season next year lol.
And that number is probably only a little lower for Alabama basketball.
