So the cup consists of 4 Women's teams from Canada, Germany, England and Spain. It is set up in such a way that all games must end in a 1-1 draw, as that is fair and though not the perfect game like a 0-0 would be, still shows that the women can play a decent, almost perfect game.

OK, so I have it on good info that today is the day "the shit goes down" on the Ottawa trucker hot tub convoy. They did arrest two of the "leaders" or "masterminds" of the convoy last night. The weather has also changed dramatically and it is cold again and we got a decent amount of snow (15-20cm). Maybe it really does happen today, though still seems to be a lot of trucks according to this live stream

So the shit has hit the fan in Ottawa. Lotsa cops arresting people and moving towards the site of the hot tubs, saunas, street hockey games, Electronic Dance Music parties, bouncy castles and last night's pig roast, lets call it the epicentre of the protest, Gonna say they are maybe 400-500 metres away. The Protesters are using the newly fallen snow to build barricades or walls of snow (I am not making this up) to keep the cops out, which is all the more amazing since the protesters have had all three of their Masterminds arrested yesterday or today.

Downtown is cleared, Little Berlin is no longer, or maybe it is more like a little Berlin with fences everywhere. The dance stage, hot tubs, bbqs, etc are all gone and they put up fences to keep everyone out. I actually just drove back into town and a large police presence, had to drive all around the place to get home due to the cops blocking so many roads and checkpoints all over the place.

So one can see that Women's football has come along way. England and Spain played the perfect game, 0-0. Germany play Kanada later, winner takes 1st place, for now, though a draw seems the likely outcome. I dont know if the Canadian women have ever beat Germany?
Call me crazy, but if the men played today, I would pick Canada to win.
