Wayne County Sheriff’s Office deputies say they found Bryan Ferguson
in his car at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday in Detroit engaging in a sex act
with a prostitute, the Detroit Free Press reported. Undercover narcotics
officers were in the area at that time and saw Ferguson with a woman who was known to them.

Ferguson has denied the allegations as a "big misunderstanding."

According to this cop he was just sitting in his truck when
this hooker climbed in and assaulted him! I certainly
hope this hooker is brought to justice and this poor
black cop recieves reparations!

I'm actually more interested in the race of the deputies. Since he was police commissioner in Detroit it goes without saying that he was black. I like to know the race of all crimes out of curiosity and to shape my perceptions. Perceptions is a hobby of mine. Racism is something other than wanting to know or identifying race IMHO.

Racism is predjudice and bias, knowledge of race is not. Knowledge can lead to solutions, deliberate ignorance leades to more problems.
Is it racism, for example, to want to know if terrorism, plane hijackings, and bombings come come from random groups or to notice that
they come from specific ethnic or racial groups? Is it racist to want to know if crime, particularly vilent crime, comes from random groups or to
notice that they come from specific ethnic or racial groups? Without knowing, how can the problem even start to be addressed? Should we pretend all
terrorism and crime are equally represented in all racial and ethnic groups?

Just curious, was it racist for universities to select students based on race?
