Yeah, that's a shame.
PSG took an early lead, but Saki Kumagai equalized soon after (it seems as if I have an uncanny ability today to miss all the goals). Then more chances for PSG. I won't be able to follow the rest of the match, but I'm rooting for Bayern the underdog here.

The poor little Bavarian underdogs almost pulled it off, taking the lead in the second half and managing to take the game into extra time. But there, having proper subs helped PSG, and Swiss superstar Ramona Bachmann scored the tie-winning goal in the 110th minute.

Bayern's goalkeeper Leitzig was at fault for PSG's goal (more Werner-inspired goalkeeping), but then made it up with a string of fine saves to keep Bayern in the game. PSG takes on Olymp...erm... the winner of OL-Juve in the semifinal.

Don't get me wrong, your interest in the women's game is commendable, but the
thought has by now crossed my mind more than once - could it be that your close
attention to Bayern Women, as well as Jesper's fascination with Bayern II, reflects
a certain yearning for competitiveness that regular old Bayern simply don't provide
anymore? I mean, you can squash Dortmund's pitiful hopes only so many times
before it goes quite stale, can't you?

Brilliant third goal by Macario for Lyon, the way she spinned around Sara Gama had people making Bergkamp vs Newcastle comparisons. Juve pulled one back with Staskova 7 minutes from time, leaving open the door for a miracle comeback, but it was not to be.

Dream over. Lyon are the better team, and there was no "football being football" stuff this time. Juve has made enormous progresses in this campaign, but the gap with the very top teams is still substantial.

Ah, you read too much into it... I guess you feel Salzburg could have
gone on a long run had they beaten (the very beatable) us.

BvB just aren't good enough. Look at the points in the league. We
might just get 80, but they will struggle to get 70.

I keep hoping for Frankfurt or Gladbach, but keep being disappointed.
I go to amateur matches because it is easy: no U-bahns in the time of
the pandemic (which has _not_ ended yet), and one is always outdoors.

The women's matches are easy to get tickets to (with a couple
exceptions this season after the fans came back), and the location is
very convenient for me coming from the north side on a Sunday.

I have a feeling Adeyemi will fail in Dortmund, too. He's no Haaland, and
despite everyone's assertion to the contrary it appears to me that 's what they're
expecting. If he wasn't playing for the German NT, no way he'd be worth 40m€.

He'd be much better suited to a Guardiola or Leipzig-style Rangnick/
Nagelsmann type team, that doesn't use a big man in the middle.
Indeed, some are speculating that's one reason why R Lewa is unhappy
here: Nagelsmann's style. Adeyemi is a runner like his Leipzig
guys were. He would fit very well with us, but wouldn't come here
until after Lewa left or retired. He's a good fit for the usual style
of Dortmund, if they can forget Haaland. Would mesh well with the
Reus-style players.

So it will be the dream final between Barca and OL at the Allianz Stadium in Torino.

Barca comfortably won the first leg 5-1 in front of a new 90,000 record crowd. Wolfsburg defense had no answer to Barca midfielders' late runs into the box (almost all the goals followed this pattern). In the return leg, it was Barca dominant again in the first half but they couldn't find the net. Wolfsburg made it interesting with two goals by Wassmuth and Roord in the second half, and the final minutes were nervy ones for the Barca defense. Juve closes the campaign as the only team to have taken points off Wolfsburg at home.

In the French duel, the first leg was not one for Werner and others who appreciate fine goalkeeping. Lyon came out on top 3-2, but PSG goalie Votikova had a big hand in all three of them. In the return leg, Lyon took an early lead with a fine header by Hegerberg, Katoto equalized in the 62nd minute. PSG pressed on for the equalizer, and came close, but Christian Endler did well to snuff out a 1v1. In the end it was a towering header by Wendie Renard that closed matters for good.

The final is on May 21. It should be a good one.
