Elversberg won in the final round, and is officially promoted.

FSV Frankfurt escaped relegation on GD, so that point was crucial.
Former 3. Liga side Sonnenhof Großaspach relegated.

Both won their final match. Essen by 2 and Münster by 1. Was was
already at 2-0 when Münster went ahead in their match, so it never
really got close.

5 teams relegated from this division. Among them, Lotte and
Uerdingen. Also Bonn, so Bundesliga representation for the former
capital isn't happening anytime soon.

Werder Bremen loses vs Jahn Regensburg and HSV wins vs Rostock and Darmstadt wins vs Paderborn. Err no that would mean third for Darmstadt as well. It is all very complicated, even though only results from three games are important. Werder need a point to control their own destiny, but could lose and still be second place or third. Just far too many permutations and combinations for these three matches. What we will find out is if HSV have the Maple Leaf curse, which always happens when the Maple tress go into bloom, something cursed about the leaves of the Maple, even if they do produce that sweet Maple syrup the world loves.

No, maple syrup is not produced from the leaves of the Maple tree, it is produced from the sap of the tree. From what I understand you need warm days and cold nights below zero, to produce maple sap. Long past that here, been hot here, 30s during the day and far from freezing at night.

Felix went to the wrong place. In the end HSV get the third spot and one might say everything predicted at the start of the season, actually happened.. I am not convinced HSV will beat Hertha, but you can never tell. Is the 2nd div good this year, are the 1st div bottom dwellers any good? Time to be a daydrink believer.

Darmstadt quickly got a goal against Padborn, was up 3-0 at the break,
and cruised to a safe win. HSV on the other hand, was a goal down in
Rostock inside 15 minutes. At that point it looked like typical HSV.
1-1 at '50, 1-2 at '75, 1-3 at '85. Rostock got the 2-3 in added time,
just to test HSV's nerves, but surprisingly HSV held on.

HSV goes into the relegation with 5 straight wins, after just a single
win in the previous 7 matches.

Bielefeld and Fürth have 680 Bundesliga matches between team (that's
90% Bielefeld), their replacements have 3732.

Oldenburg won 2-0 away in Berlin and today lost 1-2 (to a last-second goal) at home, so are through, thankfully.
