Youtube Video (7:02)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxqY_LDmTEw

A couple of clarifications to some parts
of that video:

1) The video made it seem like Jeff Bezos
has money to burn as the "richest person
in the world", whereas Elon Musk is just
barely getting by at a paltry 3rd "richest
person in the world". Hmmm, $186 billion
for Bezos compared to $147.3 billion for ...

.... Musk, I'd say both are doing fine albeit
both have multi-billion dollar ambitions.

2) Jeff seemed worried about Earth run-
ning out of resources due to a booming
population, but according to the following,
the world's population may peak at some-
where near "9.7 billion in 2064, and then
decline to about 8.8 billion by the end of ...

.... the century, as women get better ac-
cess to education and contraception, a
new study (July 14 2020) has found."
https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/14/world/world-population-shrink-intl-scli-scn/index.html
3) Jeff's vision, humans surviving in space
stations, required due to humans on Earth
running out of energy. Hmmm, doesn't seem
to recognize the potential of nuclear fission,
nuclear fusion, tidal power, solar power, wind
power to address that.

The video refers to the space stations as
able to accomodate limitless humans in
artificial gravity utopias.

Elon's vision, establishing a human colony
on Mars before World War III -or- a natural
catastrophe strikes Earth, by 2050.

---

Another space adventurer, Richard Branson,
net worth around $4 billion, his endeavor is
focused on Virgin Galactic, per his website,
"whether that be transporting passengers to
Earth orbiting hotels and science laboratories,
or providing a world-shrinking, transcontinental
service."
https://www.virgingalactic.com/vision/

---

Unaddressed in the space endeavors, the poten-
tial for life on Earth, in space colonies, and on
Mars to be dramatically enhanced via artificial
intelligence, albeit the article warns/worries that
AI may spell doom for humankind (May 6 2021):

How futuristic floating wind turbines
might ride the waves
https://www.theverge.com/2021/5/24/22448187/ge-floating-turbine-offshore-wind-farm-energy
---

.... The move adds momentum to the administration's
goal of reaching 100% carbon-free electricity by 2035,
coming just weeks after the country's first large-scale
offshore wind farm was approved off the coast of New
England.

.... Interest in offshore wind on the West Coast has
grown for years, especially with California's own ambi-
tious goal to cut greenhouse gas emissions. The deep
waters off the coast have the potential to produce a sig-
nificant amount of energy.

.... Wind turbines convert the energy transferred from
air hitting their blades to electrical energy. As of 2020,
about 8.4% of the total electricity produced in the United
States comes from wind energy. Further, over the next
decade, the Department of Energy plans to increase the
footprint of wind energy in the electricity sector to 20%
to meet the nation's ambitious climate goals.

Richard Branson, on his Virgin Galactic rocket
plane, becomes first billionaire to get to space
https://nypost.com/2021/07/11/richard-branson-to-fly-to-space-on-virgin-galactic-rocket/
---

Richard Branson won the “billionaire space race”
on Sunday — launching himself and five others
more than 50 miles above the earth to the point
of weightlessness in his own Virgin Galactic
rocket.

“It was the complete experience of a lifetime,” the
beaming British entrepreneur, who will turn 71 in
a week, said after shaking the hand of another
member of the crew. “Now looking down at the
spaceport, congratulations to everybody for cre-
ating such a beautiful plane and all the hard work
for getting us this far.”

Branson set off with five employees a little after
8:30 a.m. local time from Spaceport America in
New Mexico, about 180 miles south of Albu-
querque.

space on his Virgin Galactic passenger rocket
plane:

Less than an hour after takeoff, the VSS Eve plane
released its rocket at an altitude of 53 miles — fur-
ther than the 50-mile boundary considered by the
US to be the boundary of space.

The crew was then able to unstrap to experience
a few minutes of weightlessness before gliding
back around 9:40 a.m. to the runway.

A crowd gathered at the tarmac cheered as the
plane landed and the crew disembarked, with some
spectators jumping into the air and hugging.

Branson, who served as a mission specialist, threw
his hands up in the air to cheer the landing before
jogging down the tarmac for an emotional reunion
with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Too bad he and Elon can't reside in space.
Perhaps they shall bid for planet Pluto now?
In other words who gives a flying chuck what these billionaires spend money on.

The 3 you're referring to are involved in going
into space, albeit Branson just barely got into
space & Bezos also will just barely get into
space. Musk doesn't appear interested in go-
ing into space at the present time.

Most are intrigued by space projects, as well
as by all spending by the 2 men who Forbes
currently ranks the 2 richest individuals in the
world (Jeff Bezos ranked 1st, Elon Musk is
ranked 2nd). Richard Branson is ranked a
mere 589th.

Elon, by the way, recently sold 7 expensive
homes, & currently rents a “foldable, prefabri-

company (a 400 square ft 'box' albeit elsewhere
it's said he bought or is renting a small nearby
house in Boca Chica Texas):

As for spending by billionaires, all NFL fans
are very interested in the spending by the 29
NFL billionaires (Jerry's net worth estimated
by Forbes to be $8.9 billion or so, not quite
as rich as Richard Branson, Jerry tied at the ...

.... as well as the spending by the 3 teams not

that presented in the following excellent 48 min-

Follow-up 5: Per the array of information
in the previous post at

one correction to my comment that "Musk
doesn't appear interested in going into space
at the present time."

Actually, that only applies to going into space
on a SpaceX spaceship, as Elon Musk will fly
to space with Virgin Galactic: reports
https://www.space.com/elon-musk-will-fly-on-virgin-galactic

The SpaceX chief has put down a $10,000 deposit.
SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk has booked
a ride to suborbital space with Virgin Galactic, ac-
cording to media reports. ... It's unclear when Musk's
flight will lift off.

.... Musk was on hand to witness Branson's flight, which
lifted off from Spaceport America in New Mexico, Virgin
Galactic's commercial hub. In the hours before Sunday's
early-morning flight, in fact, Branson tweeted out a pic-
ture of himself standing next to a shoeless Musk. ...

NASA gives SpaceX $178 million to help
launch mission to Jupiter's moon Europa
https://www.spaceflightinsider.com/missions/solar-system/finding-life-on-europa-requires-drilling-to-its-subsurface-ocean/
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/07/24/nasa-gives-spacex-178-million-europa-clipper-mission/8080992002/
https://europa.nasa.gov/
---

.... NASA’s Europa Clipper, which has a planned
launch date of October 2024, will fly by Europa
around 45 times over 3 years and scan its sur-
face with 10 science instruments. However, it
will not land on the moon.

Data returned by Europa Clipper’s instruments,
which will include a thermal camera, spectrome-
ter, and ice-penetrating radar, could give scien-
tists better insight into ideal locations to follow
up on with a lander.

.... The mission aims to produce high-resolution
images of Europa's surface, determine its com-
position, study ongoing geological activity, mea-
sure the thickness of the moon's icy shell, search
for subsurface lakes, and measure the depth &
salinity of its ocean, the statement said.

....

EUROPA
Moon of Jupiter. Potential for life.

Scientists are almost certain
a vast ocean lies beneath
Europa's icy shell

EUROPA

The Right Stuff

Europa has the ingredients essential for life…
water, chemistry & energy

Follow the Water

Liquid water is essential for the complex chemistry
that makes life on Earth possible.

Scientists predict a salty ocean lies beneath Europa’s
surface which has more water than Earth’s oceans
combined.

EVIDENCE FOR AN OCEAN
https://europa.nasa.gov/why-europa/evidence-for-an-ocean/

Common Chemistry

The chemistry of life relies on elements that are common
in the universe.

For Europa to be habitable, it needs the essential building
blocks for life – carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and sulfur to
name a few.

INGREDIENTS FOR LIFE?

A Different Energy

How does an icy moon far from the Sun get the energy needed
to sustain life?

Jupiter's strong gravity creates tides on Europa that stretch and
tug the moon, producing heat.

RADIATION ON EUROPA

If there is life in Europa, it almost certainly was completely inde-
pendent from the origin of life on earth... that would mean the
origin of life must be pretty easy throughout the galaxy and be-
yond.

THE SPACECRAFT

Focused Features

Crafted with one overarching goal: Determine if Europa harbors
conditions suitable for life.

Europa Clipper will carry a suite of advanced instruments to ex-
plore the Jovian moon.

Imagers

The “eyes” of the spacecraft, these imagers will reveal hidden de-
tails of Europa’s surface.
