Well the New York teams from various sports play at Stadiums in New
Jersey, so I assume that is why they describe it this way. The proposed
stadium is used by the Jets and Giants and is only 8 km west of New York
City.

Some of the other descriptions of stadium location are less accurate.
The AT and T stadium is actually in Arlington, not Dallas, for example,
but I guess it is all part of the same metropolitan area. Levi's stadium
is in Santa Clara, close to San José, so not really in San Francisco.

Yeah, definitely thought this was unfair on both Edmonton and Canada. Edmonton looked a nice place to watch a World Cup match and Canada shouldn’t have had any less stadia than Mexico.

Initial thought is What the Hell, but I suppose FIFA looks at population and USA is 10 x Kanada, Mexico probably 5x or 6x, so Mexico should be more upset. Just seems dumb playing football errrrr I mean soccer matches in front of a bunch of Americans yelling "why don he pick up de ball and run wit it".
But yeah, Ottawa and Montreal should have been given games.

Ottawa didn’t apply to be a candidate city. Montreal did at first but withdrew, I think because the various fees and tax breaks FIFA expected became an issue. It was Montreal withdrawing that gave Vancouver the opportunity to become a candidate.

Canadians dont say Dude, they say Lad (or maybe Hoser) they also would not go to WC games, we spend our summers at the cottage fishin, smokin weed and drinkin beer. We only go out for winter sports like curling and ice hockey.

This has been a weird summer so far, barely done any fishin. two days ago steamy, hot humid 30c temps and this morning it is cold, windy 9C.

I'm sure as far as FIFA are concerned it's more about the size of the

No. New Jersey is a state that borders New York City. Due to the population and space density in NYC, the biggest stadium serving the NYC metropolitan area is in NJ, just a few miles from Manhattan. Both of NYC's NFL teams play their home games at MetLife Stadium.

I suppose it's just more convenient for all the games to be played in 1 country. Less travelling involved etc.

All games being played at a neutral venue (or home and away) would certainly be fairer though.
