A couple of hours ago some clod called 'Gilly's Danda' ignorantly triped
out, "The last post that I can find about Cricket opinion on this group was
made on 24 February 2022 - fittingly, about the New South Wales / South
Australia / Victoria (Warne's beloved state) conspiracy to deprive
Queensland of its due."

Arrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

For the last time, The Conspiracy Club was *never* about promoting Qld, it
was about the NSV (Now just NSW) running and ruining *Australian* cricket.
Yes, Qld would have benefited from having all the faceless NSW power
brokers executed for treason, but so would all the other States.

Pity about the demise of rsc, I would have enjoyed taking on the NSW
deniers and their pitiful efforts to argue against the charge that it was a
NSW coup which brazenly dispatched Langer.

I am in UK, just by about 25 miles. I've noticed the BBC website, most
of the cricket clips are from the womens world cup.

The BBC having neither the TV nor the radio rights to the series in the
WI probably has something to do with the amount of coverage on the
website. (And they may well have the radio rights to the Women's World
Cup, though I haven't checked.)

So sad to see the demise of rec.sport.cricket! I came on this morning to celebrate a historical moment--Angelo Mathews duck in the SL-Bangladesh Test--and find that the greatest forum for discussing World cricket is sabotaged and basically gone.

But I will nevertheless reply to this post where I still find the immortal alvey and John Hall!

After his wonderful 1st innings score of 199, Mathews' 2nd innings duck gives him three in 171 innings. And that returns the record for lowest percentage of ducks (in 50 or more innings) to the late, great and much beloved Clyde Walcott, with one duck in 74 innings.

I've been waiting for this day for several years, ever since Mathews (a wonderful batsman whom I hugely respect!) last surpassed Sir Clyde. May both of their records live forever!

There may not be much life here, but there's still plenty on
uk.sport.cricket ()even if a large proportion is posts by Robert
Henderson and rebuttals thereof).
