> [skip dls insult blather] ... speculation.

A lot of wealth is tied to stocks, & as most
realize, stocks are a fluctuating asset. Also,
much wealth is hidden, so the degree of
individual wealth is a variable depending
on publicly available information & stock
prices.

As for Forbes 400 website saying it only
includes Americans, obviously much of
the wealth in the world is not American,
& I found a world list by Forbes that had
far different wealth figures than their
Forbes 400 list.
https://www.forbes.com/real-time-billionaires/
https://www.forbes.com/forbes-400/

Speaking of hidden wealth, Russian mass
murderer/authoritarian dictator/warmonger
Vladimir Putin is per some sources the rich-
est person in the world, yet it appears his
wealth is so well hidden that finding out
how much he's actually worth is buried ...

.... 'neath mountains of secrecy akin to the
hidden wealth within the secrets of the Vat-
ican, difficult to impossible to know, reliably.
