Like Copernicus who did not fear Church censure, he cared only that those who lack the competence and confidence to handle the perspectives of a moving Earth and the same is true here.

The first Sun-centred astronomers did not make the distinction, in terms of direct/retrograde motion, between the faster and slower-moving planets seen from a moving Earth yet the celebrity guy announces it in a botched way while observers here, after a decade, can easily go through the procedures.

In Saturn these retrogressions are somewhat more frequent than in Jupiter, because its motion is slower than Jupiter's, so that the Earth overtakes it in a shorter time. I don't mind the hirelings who now mangle the insight, but I do mind that it is not explained properly even though I have appealed to the use of graphics and imaging for as long as I can remember. As the perspective comes into wider circulation, how will you people justify yourselves.

He didn't mean the Sun was a planet, but that astrologers treated it as
the same as a planet.

He was definitely speaking... informally. So he seemed to say that since
the stars weren't lights on a firmament, the stars weren't real things. What,
of course, he meant was that the *constellations* weren't real things, but
that word got lost.

The fact is that none of the first Sun-centred astronomers made the necessary distinction between the faster and slower-moving planets seen from a moving Earth determines how important the new satellite imaging is by creating the anchor for the Earth's orbital motion, the central Sun and the back-and-forth or direct/retrogrades of the faster-moving Venus and Mercury.

The modification affects every other observation looking both ways towards the Earth sciences as cause and effect or outwards towards the rest of the solar system, galaxy and larger structures within the Universe whatever they are. It is that important.
