It is easier to work with Venus for obvious reasons but the same principle applies-

The structural change is the back-and-forth change in the position of the faster-moving planets representing direct/retrogrades as opposed to the slower-moving planets falling behind in view as the Earth overtakes them.

The first video of 'Mercury retrograde, explained WITHOUT astrology' is flawed in a familiar way as the purpose of assigning the proper motion of the two inner planets seen from a moving Earth is referenced to the central Sun rather than the background stars.

The supplementary information is of equal importance and especially when presented along with a Sun-centred view of the planets in terms of luminosity, positional changes, speeds as they come within range of the camera, the differences with Mercury and Venus in front and behind the Sun as just one facet that needs a proper explanation.

It is not restricted to the observational interpretation of our solar system neighbourhood but also causes and effects between the Earth's motions and the Earth sciences of biology, climate and geology that open up for major modifications.
