I ordered two identical Wheels Manufacturing No. 14 derailleur hangers. The secong on came in yesterday and while the first one was comnplete with a 2mm screw to hold it in, the seconf was milling that. No big deal since it is simply a replacement in case the first breaks.

I ordered another slightly different one that is more robust and in case the first breaks the second will be available.

All that's left to do is install the 10 speed chain and the bar tape. Then adjust the derailkleurs and brakes. I tried to straighten the real "Select" Bontrager wheel but it went out of alignment again. Looking more closely, I discoivered a bent spoke. So I am thinking about getting rid of those wheels.
Some guy has a good set of older style Bontrager Race wheels that he only used on a trainer in the winter so if he EVER replies, I will drive down and buy them.

I suppose I can continue correcting the back wheel until it stay straight but I think that bent spoke would make that a laboreous process.

So the Allez is close to being finished. Too bad that bike sales have stopped cold. This is largely because of the cost of good bicycles and the Biden economy. But that's about to come to an abrubt end. Personally I believe that Janet Yellen is a comnplete ass that should be prosecuted for experimenting with her lunatic theories on the American public. Oh, that's right Flunky, that ignorant ass, believes that Yellen is a Godess that wasn't posting on Facebook and conversing with me. He doesn't understand economics at all and believes that no one else does.

A bent spoke can be easily straightened or (usually)
replaced. But if that spoke is bent from being snagged
while riding there is most probably rim damage.

Slack all the spokes two turns or three. Lay a new rim
against the wheel. Are there rim deformations? If yes, rims
may sometimes be reshaped before tensioning if it's minor
and localized. Severe or numerous deformations mean a new
rim usually.

The chain length was tested, cleaned and hot waxed. the handlebar tape installed. As soon as the chain cools, I will install it. I will sneak out between rainwstorms tomorrow to test the Allez.

I wish that bicycle sales hadn't come to a dead stop. I would like to sell 4 bikes and buy a new frameset. But I just don't have any room. My cat sat on my shoulder and supervised. She has been turning off my alarm on my phone as well.

She wasn't conversing with you on facebook. That's just another tom lie,

If she was actually replying to anything you posted on facebook, it

I never claimed to fully understand the economy, but let's just say I
have a more firm grasp than someone who believes the Great Recession
started under Obama

Goodness Gracious, do you mean that Ms Janet Yellen didn't spend all
of her time communicating with an out of work bum living in a slum in
California?.... I AM Amazed!

It's been a disastrous policy by all players, elected,
appointed and the Federal Reserve, of all parties (to
horrible or merely miserable levels) for decades:

Of course it has. The U.S. rushes's about the world handing out money.
https://wisevoter.com/country-rankings/us-foreign-aid-by-country/
In many cases money it doesn't have and has to borrow.
And in many cases to failed countries.... Myanmar comes to mind, a
failed country that was never united, simply a group of small
countries, kingdoms and Principalities, conquered by the British prior
to WW II and called "Burma".
Currently some 200 million dollars annually. For what? To who?

You have a form of rabies in which you cannot close your mouth despite your absolute failure at everything. The high point in you life was when you made the Air Force pistol team and it has been downhill since then. You disgusted your wife so much that she chose death rather than live with you.

Why do you suppose that Slocomb without the slightest training in economics thinks that Yellen did ANYTHING correct when she has ALREADY admitted that she wass wrong (meaning I was right) and appologized for the mess this country is presently in.

It was like talking to a child. The idea is that you HAVE to guess what the GDP is for that year and so in oirder not to stunt the GDP by not having enough money supply, you always expand (print) slightly more than you believe is necessary. This leads always to the inflation of the dollar but down years you do NOT print more money and in that manner you can reduce the money supply and keep inflation at or near zero.

The problem was that the government contued to speed money in both up and down years making the GDP to always look positive. So there were never any balancing years and so we continued to inflate capital.

And then Yellen came along with her nincompoop theory that if you destroyed the money supply with over-printing that you could change over to digital currency. This would mean that the GOVERNMENT had absolute control over your money.

To my mind this was a capital offense since the money supply is something that in the end is supposed to be under the control of the people and not some elitist in the Ivory halls of Congress

You really are a piece of shit, aren't you. Why do you comment about
my wife? You never knew my wife, you know nothing about wife or life
in Thailand. But I can tell one think about my wife. Had she ever
been introduced to a piece of shit like you she'd probably spit on the
ground and muttered something like "no face" in Thai. Perhaps the
ultimate insult here as it indicates that you are, literally, a
nothing.

Well, Tommy, as for my training in economics... you live in a shit
house, in a shit neighborhood while I live in a rather grand house on
an estate. Two story, 4 bedroom, servants quarters, and so on. You
mooch your wife's social security in order to eat in a restaurant. I
pay for the servants lunch... seated at a separate table of course.

As for Yellen admitted she was wrong, she admitted she was wrong in
estimating the length of the inflation.

Tell us Tommy, when have ever been right?

I see.... Stupid ass Tommy gets it wrong again. The issuing authority
of U.S. currency, the Federal Reserve Board is responsible for
ensuring that there is enough cash in circulation to meet the public’s
demand domestically and internationally.

There is a grain of truth in there. GDP includes government
expenditures and payrolls (which would seem nonsensical, as
government action subtracts from economic growth. but that's
what it is) so newly created money dropped from helicopters
as it were (or the next closest things as we see currently)
inflate GDP.
Similarly, the largest employment increases by sector are in
Fed, State, Local, Municipal so again a larger burden on the
economy counts as "growth".

I see your lips moving :-)

But GDP doesn't seem to be a single measurement. Standard Keynesian
macroeconomics theory offers two methods to measure GDP: the income
approach and the expenditure approach.
For example,
"Calculating GDP using the expenditure approach accounts for the sum
of all final goods and services purchased in an economy over a set
period.

The income approach starts with the income earned from the production
of goods and services, such as wages, rents, interest, and profits.

Or, I suppose in common English, "We can make it mean what ever we
want it to "-)

In the same way that official 'inflation' numbers do not
count things people actually buy every day (food, gasoline,
utilities, rent)

Well, I suppose that they want to keep y'all all warm and comfy back
there so a little canoodling of the numbers should be taken kindly...
I learned about Government numbers way back when I discovered a

I see that time after time Slocomb has to show his absolute ignorance. At the time of the argument with Janet Yellen she was the director of the Federal Reserve. Why don't you tell us all about it you 20 year Master Sargeant (E7) after I took 1 year to make E3. How does it feel to be impossible to return to the US because you would be homeless and soon forced to be injected with some poisonous vaccine?

But that's about to come to an abrubt end. Personally I believe that Janet Yellen is a comnplete ass that should be prosecuted for experimenting with her lunatic theories on the American public. Oh, that's right Flunky, that ignorant ass, believes that Yellen is a Godess that wasn't posting on Facebook and conversing with me. He doesn't understand economics at all and believes that no one else does.

After the ride of the Allez uesterday, my butt was in very good condition from using the rather heavily padded Flite saddle. My hands and arms were a bit sore so I will have to remeasure the handlebar position with the Basso which has almost perfect position. But my hip on the left side was very sore. I looked at the cranks and discovered that the installed cranks were 175 mm. This is the length that Flunky claimed didn't matter when I complained the the 5 mm difference between those and my 172.5's wasn't enough to matter. Now I expect he will claim he never said anything of the sort.

But in any care although tyhe wheels of the Allez were not perfectly straight it overall rode very well. The fact of used bikes not selling on Craig's list is more and more bothersome I could not try any other builds because I am entirely out of room.

I discovered the problem with the reach. I accidently measure the Basso to the front of the handlebar and the Allez to the center of the handlebar. That was corrected so now I need a 172.5 FSA SL compact crank. and the two bikes will be identical in fit.

The one thing that was plain with the Allez and the Basso is that they both wander around the same at slow speeds. Yesterday's ride was out in 25 mph gusty winds and I was blown off of the trail twice before I got a handle on how sensitive it was at slower speeds. Up at 12-15 mph both bike go straight without wandering much. There is one spot where I go from the road to the trail and I have to turn 270 degrees right onto a narrow sidewalk and then make a 90 degree left between two steel poles after which you're on the bike path. This is no problem on the Basso or te Allez though the other bikes you have to be extremely careful.

The Fondriest and the Tommasini both handle poorly at slow speeds. The Alivberti handles well but the Trek Alpha handles like the Tommasini. The Ridley handles perfectly but I don't like Di2. The BMC also has some problemns with very low speed tight turns.

I most definitely like the 10 speeds over the 11 and 12 Campy. The 10 speed Campy sucks since the lowest gear you can mount if your REALLY push it is a 30 tooth I am shifting an 11-36 on the olfder Shimano. This works very well with enough spacing between the gears that you aren't shifting multiple times to get where you can to go.
