Some people still believe the littoral theory is wrong because they believe humans can’t sleep floating. Wrong, of course: most of us probably can't, but our archaic ancestors (H.erectus & even neand.) had
-shorter tibias (our legs are rel.heavier than the rest of or body),
-more SC fat (we still are much fatter than apes),
-less basi-cranial flexion (turns the nose less upwards),
-projecting mid-faces,
-bigger noses, google “Oi, big nose!”,
-long & low skulls (platycephaly), bringing the nostrils more forward.
Moreover early-Pleistocene Homo dispersed intercontinentally in salty waters, google “coastal dispersal Pleistocene Homo PPT”.

Paranasal air sinuses are larger in Hn>Hs>He:
-H.erectus followed the Ind.Ocean coast (salt water),
-neandertals lived along rivers,
-we are +-not aquatic any more.
