Laptop is not overheating but battery is down and charger is corrupt
Try to charge it via USB socket,
enable USB charging in the BIOS

There is no such thing as DHCP mode or booting from DHCP.

DHCP is just a method for an already booted operating system to get an
IP address for use in the network from a server, or from the router.
When Windows boots it is one of the things it tries; if configured for
some other method and fails, it will try DHCP (it calls it automatic
network settings). It can not be disabled in the BIOS.

There are other protocols for booting a computer from the network. It is
a different thing (based on BOOTP) and can be disabled in the bios (see
boot order settings).

I guess we know who a a is now. I normally don't read his threads, for obvious reasons. This makes a lot of sense. Two minds that think alike, because they are the same one.
