I wonder how good it is at taking out other combat drones? I forget who said, "The purpose of war, is not to die for your country, but to make the other dumb bastard die for his country!" I guess that could be changed to making the other dumb drone die for its country.

I would rephrase it:
The purpose of war, is not to waste money for your country, but to make the other dumb bastard waste more money for his country.
My Leaf would be a great combat vehicle, to go after Russian tanks, with 30kWhr of explosive onboard. Of course, not with me in it, just a remote control dummy.

That was none other than Patton. In June 1945he gave another speech in Boston:

"During his first speech that morning he had told his audience that the fact that a soldier was killed in action often made him a fool rather than a hero. What exactly he meant is unclear, but needless to say this remark enraged those who had lost relatives in the war and telegrams and letters soon began to flood into the War Department demanding an apology. They did not get it."

U.S lost quite a lot of "fools" in Europe.

"Just between June 1944 and May 8, 1945, there were 552,117 U.S. casualties in the European theater of operations. Of those, 104,812 were killed in action."

That's a lot of loss in just 11 months.

U.S. newsreels don't show it for purposes of morale, but the German war footage shows very large numbers of allied dead scattered all over the place.
