Well, everybody would trim his own nails on hands, but what about
feet? Well, that we will trim one to the other.
It would be nice, salty. This is why we like potato chips today, :) .

Zebras don't trim their nails/hooves, they wear down. Same with other fauna. Humans began wearing shoes ~45ka, toenails stopped getting worn down, so sharp flakes were used to trim them.

I have problems to imagine how a primate would trim its nails.
