Lens motorised or not, you camera presumably has an in-focus indicator
of some sort.

The lens has a chip that I glued in. I certainly wouldn't rely on it.

Or not. I really cannot see what help "the manual" could possibly be (not

It's a bastard, I can tell you. I can barely see the camera close up, but
I can spot a wasp at 30 paces. I certainly can't use the camera with
glasses on. So I am constantly glasses on - glasses off.

So you are rueing that you are unable to focus optimally, you don't know
how to get your camera to assist in this, and you apparently don't
need/want the manual which will show you how to get your camera to
assist in this.
