It's not a good definition. Two events are simultaneous if they occur at
the same time, at the same instant, for a given observer.

R.H. definition has only local validity, given the radius of sighting that the observer has. And, even in his local view,
you have to compute the speed of light, which delays the visual information that reaches the observer.

Maciej's definition eliminates this "problem".

There is no need to calculate the speed of light in Hachel concept.
Everything is done live-live for the direct observer. This horse in this
meadow, this mill in the distance, this galaxy in my telescope, I observe
them as they are, today and now. Not as they were billions of years ago.
It is very strange that this fantastic concept, which nevertheless
describes things with simplicity and beauty, is absolutely impossible to
put into the brains of men. Like imbeciles and cretins, they will answer
