There's lots of those; in US, 'statute mile' for land measure is different from 'mile' for distance,
and 'ounce' can be fluid ounce, avoirdupois ounce, or troy ounce.
Calorie for thermodynamics (c) is 1/1000 of the 'calorie' for nutrition (C)..
Also 'dozen' can be twelve, or 'baker's dozen', 13.
The reasons, of course, are history...
