Currently,

Age of universe: 13.5 billion years
Radius of visible (Hubble) universe: 13.5 billion light years.

Average speed of Hubble's light: current c.

Radius of observable (relativist) universe: 46 billion light years.

Average speed of relativist's light: 13.5/46 c = 0.2935 c.

That is a fallacious appeal to authority. Just who do you think

Lot of nonsense there. Of course we are talking about physical models.

"The universe is all of space and time[a] and their contents, including planets, stars, galaxies, and all other forms of matter and energy. The Big Bang theory is the prevailing cosmological description of the development of the universe. According to this theory, space and time emerged together 13.799 ± 0.021 billion years ago, and the universe has been expanding ever since the Big Bang. While the spatial size of the entire universe is unknown, it is possible to measure the size of the observable universe, which is approximately 93 billion light-years in diameter at the present day."

"Assuming that the Lambda-CDM model is correct, the measurements of the parameters using a variety of techniques by numerous experiments yield a best value of the age of the universe at 13.799 ± 0.021 billion years, as of 2015.
Astronomers have discovered stars in the Milky Way galaxy that are almost 13.6 billion years old.
Over time, the universe and its contents have evolved; for example, the relative population of quasars and galaxies has changed and space itself has expanded. Due to this expansion, scientists on Earth can observe the light from a galaxy 30 billion light-years away even though that light has traveled for only 13 billion years; the very space between them has expanded. This expansion is consistent with the observation that the light from distant galaxies has been redshifted; the photons emitted have been stretched to longer wavelengths and lower frequency during their journey. Analyses of Type Ia supernovae indicate that the spatial expansion is accelerating."

I suspect the universe has been expanding significantly slower which
would give it a much older age. How to measure that slower expansion...
Science needs it.

James Ussher. from en.wikipedia.org
James Ussher (or Usher; 4 January 1581 – 21 March 1656) was the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland between 1625 and 1656.

Your spelling was apparently acceptable spelled either way!

Bard AI:

James Ussher was an Anglo-Irish prelate of the Church of Ireland who was memorable for his activity in religious politics and for his work on patristic texts, especially the chronology of the Old Testament.

He was born in Dublin, Ireland, on January 4, 1581. He studied at Trinity College Dublin, where he was ordained a priest in 1601. He held a number of academic positions at Trinity College, including professor of divinity and vice-chancellor. In 1625, he was appointed Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland.

Ussher was a prolific scholar and published numerous works on a wide range of topics, including biblical studies, church history, and chronology. He is best known for his chronology of the Old Testament, which he calculated to have begun on 23 October 4004 BC. This date, known as the Ussher-Lightfoot Calendar, was widely accepted for centuries, but it is now considered to be inaccurate.

Ussher was also a controversial figure. He was a strong supporter of the Church of Ireland and opposed the reforms proposed by the Puritans. He also clashed with the English Parliament during the English Civil War.

Ussher died in Reigate, Surrey, England, on March 21, 1656. He was buried in St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin.

Here are some of his most notable accomplishments:

Identified the genuine letters of the church father, Ignatius of Antioch.
Developed a chronology of the Old Testament that sought to establish the time and date of the creation.
Published numerous works on biblical studies, church history, and chronology.
Served as Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland.
Was a strong supporter of the Church of Ireland and opposed the reforms proposed by the Puritans.

Ussher was a complex and controversial figure, but he was also a brilliant scholar and a significant figure in the history of the Church of Ireland. His work on the chronology of the Old Testament is still studied today, and his other works continue to be of interest to scholars.

************************************

Well, he was a heavyweight figure in the history of religion in Britain, and a balanced man between Catholicism and Calvinism, who
was highly appreciated by everyone, in his epoch.

The evidence for the Earth's age of 4.5 billion years is based on the oldest rocks known. There were probably much older ones no longer extant. Why would we think the oldest ones still exist? Even zircons are destructible.

But how do we explain diamonds and crude oil that radio-carbon date (when carefully taking contamination into account) to no more that 50K years?

This date, known as the Ussher-Lightfoot Calendar, was widely accepted for centuries, but it is now considered to be inaccurate.
