What changes is the metric of the space, not the objects.

Objects have no variation "in themselves".

Let's just take the distances and put a distance of 12 light years.

We have x=12.

Now we're going to launch a rocket that will very quickly reach a speed of
0.8c and travel at that speed.

It will cross this distance.

For the terrestrial observer, things are very simple, and it will cross 12
ly of space to go, and 12 ly of space to return.

This is no longer true for the rocket, which will consider that the space
traversed is a reference mollusk, and not only this, but that the
contractions and expansions of space are not homogeneous depending on the
place where I measure them.

For example, in the middle of the journey, the terrestrial observer sees
six light years behind the rocket, and six light years ahead.

It's trivial.

But for the rocket, things are so amazing that even the greatest
physicists in the world have absolutely no idea what is going to happen
(don't laugh, it's not funny, they DON'T KNOW).

For the rocket, at this midpoint, the total distance in space is not 12
ly. But from 20 ly.
These 20 ly are broken down into 18 ly in front, and 2 ly behind.

It is therefore not the "objects" that contract or expand, but space
itself. Like when taking a photo at higher or lower magnification.

I am very surprised that many do not understand this, and that it is
relativistic perspective effects.

I then see the immense difficulty for me to teach them and to take them
further by teaching contractions and dilations as they are, and not as
they believe, with their simple L'=L.sqrt (1-v²/c²).

This equation is not even the correct one, and directly generates what is
called the inextricable paradox of Langevin's traveler studied in apparent
speeds (what we would see in a hyperpowered telescope).

The true equation is : L'=L.sqrt(1-vo²/c²)/(1+cosµ.Vo/c)

and, obviously, idem for the distances :
D'=D.sqrt(1-vo²/c²)/(1+cosµ.Vo/c)

R.H.
