Some commentator, I think it was on CNN mentioned chess..

But it is clear that the game is this:
Prigozjin (and old friend of Putin) plays a revolt
At the same time Putin sends nukes to Belarus
Putin makes a deal, sends Prigozjin and army to Belarus.

Prigozjin nukes Kiev

Russia. Putin, will claim it was rebels, so a retaliation strike by the US on Russia is not logical,

CIA hack strategy response shows Biden trips on stage and falls with eye on iris scanner of doomsday box, and his nose hits the red button.
Then .. hits .. etc

But it is just a game.
I once did win from a local champion, that really pissed him off, have not played chess in > 25 years?
But it is so obvious (except that CIA thing).

You'd have to be blind to not see that strategy!
Also I missed the fear in Putin's face when he mentioned the 'revolt'.

Russia had some great chess masters....

I am not allowed by the intergalactic to post the trigger here now.
No it is not even in writing on my system, sorry big brothel listeners.

What he says sounds quite plausible though. Unfortunate but plausible.
Those in the Kremlin are evil criminals with the mindset of street
gangsters - which is what they all have been before making it.

If the Kremlin was in it, they would not make Putin look so bad. Putin could have been a strong boss handling the whole situation. Perhaps they need better Hollywood writers.

May be. Or may be they just wanted to make it look real.
May be it is about moving forces to Belarus to attack Kiev again
from the north. Or make the Ukranians worry about that and allocate
forces there. Nuking Kiev can't be masqueraded whatever games they
play and they know it so it is unlikely about that, but the rest
is possible.
The worst thing one can do is to celebrate victory before the
game is over.

Last saturday I spend many hours in the garden,
it needs a lot of work, is big.
The grapes are starting to grow now, are still very small.
Not radioactive yet...

Do you grow anything?

I know some very serious guys, real bears in aerospace engineering and
management, who are serious gardeners. I am myself a garden widower
because Mo is always out back digging in the dirt or buying plants or
touring other gardens. She is a member at the arboretum in Golden Gate
Park and at Filoli.

I sometimes go on tours with her but, frankly, all plants look alike
to me, green and leafy and boring.

I personally can't handle the speed transition between engineering and
gardening. Or the failure rate concept: engineering must be intense
and perfect but it's no big deal when a third of your plants die every
year.

My favorite fiction book centers on the richest Duke in England who
only wants to put on grubby trousers and dig in his garden.

I have some nice roses now at the front door:
https://panteltje.nl/pub/roses_at_front_door_IXIMG_1354.JPG
First butterflies found their way ..
Very high temperatures here, close to 29 degrees C, no rain for weeks.
But now the wind has turned west, from the sea, and the first shower happened this morning.
Neighbor gives me some advice with gardening, he has flowers everywhere.

>My favorite fiction book centers on the richest Duke in England who
>only wants to put on grubby trousers and dig in his garden.

As a kid.. I did read Donald Duck, secretly by the neighbors, my father
did not want me to read it, said it was a capitalist duck.
He was a journalist for a left orientated newspaper.
Later he sort of changed position..

I am more into playing music, when I was much younger I played trumpet, had a guitar.
Was playing Woodstock CD1 this afternoon, also a bit anti-war mood...
Had radio on ever since high school, build amplifier for the school band etc.
In broadcasting around artists every day.
Learning about gardening is fun in a way.
Also good for your condition :-)

I like to hike hills and stairways to get away from the mouse. More
aerobic than gardening.

https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/4frh5it44h2066815izxd/20230625_161350.jpg?dl=0&rlkey=jca60czm0xgflf4g84cu6k47d

Things are kind of a mess here now, after the massive rains. There are
trees (and a few houses) down everywhere.

Google Earth lets you graph a hike and reports the total distance and
can show a height profile. Cool.

Oh yes, and 'little helper'

But I was already too much into electronics back then in the fifties to take him seriously.
But fun reading.
Interesting : he invented the 'dark light bulb', one that made a room dark...
Was trying to make a TV screen by making tracks with pencil and using stuff from CRT screens
sort of an OLED but not organic, but then we moved house to the country and I lost access to some
stuff I could get in Amsterdam.

I also remember reading this in the fifties:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buck_Danny

And all sort of space stuff.

Wanted to be a jet pilot...

That looks really nice...
Everything is flat here....

>Things are kind of a mess here now, after the massive rains. There are

Yes I did see the weather reports: hurricanes and tornados in the US, super hot temperatures.....

>Google Earth lets you graph a hike and reports the total distance and

I just take my bike and do a tour of some cities / villages, combine with shopping and eating :-)

That's Fort Funston. It has a bunch of giant concrete structures that
used to be gun mounts, built when people feared that the Japanese
would attack the west coast, which they did a tiny bit. I wish they
had left the big guns, but they were cut up for scrap at the end of

Amazing, I would have expected SF to be much warmer in this part of the year?

You are wrong.
Coldest summer in USA.
Warming up this weekend.

5 days high/low forecast:
64/53 65/54 66/54 68/55 72/56

For you international folks, 53°F is around 12°C.

That looks like the Gulf coast of Florida. Dunes with big grasses,
sugar sand beach, warm.

SF is unusually cold, even locally. There's an upwelling of cold sea
water and wind from the west, so it's cold and foggy most of the
summer, and it never freezes. Residential air conditioning is very
rare. Solar panels don't pay off.

It's 52F right now, 7:20 AM.

Some people hate it.

Yep, and now with these high temperatures many people at the beaches.
In Zandvoort, I lived there a while, the beach is visited by many people, Amsterdam goes there, just a 30 minutes train drive.
However they build the Formula 1 racing track close to the beach, makes a lot of noise if they are driving there.
More north and south is likely better,.
Scheveningen, lived there too, close to The Hague, is an other nice beach:

11 degrees C?
Here it is now 27 degrees C (81 F) with no sun... cloudy 5:30 pm
One neighbor has solar panels.
I have flexible solar panels I can lay out in the garden if needed, or use on a boat.
You can probably walk on those with boat shoes if properly mounted, but I try to avoid that.
Did some more gardening today.
