Actually, Hawking is the editor-compiler and all the material is by Einstein.

Material includes the famous 1905 docments and
Relativity, The Special and the General Theory, 1920

RSGT-1920 Section-12 basically repeats the time dilation stuff of EDoMB-1905 Section-4. The 1905 version is less confusing.

1920 has “larger time.” A gamma second. Gamma is greater than 1. 1 gamma second is larger than 1 proper second. The stationary guy has 60 proper seconds on his stopwatch, and observes, at time of 1 minute, 59 gamma seconds on the moving guy’s stopwatch. That’s not “larger” time. That’s lesser time.

And in the meantime in the real world,
