Yes, but depending on by how much higher the temperature is than the mean it can range from 50% to 0%.

When they start using the word 'jolt', they're talking about chaotic.

It happens rather more than half the time if the phenomenon you are tracking happens to be increasing, which is what anthropognic global warming is all about.

October is typically our hot month. It's when we get winds from the
east, called Diablo or Santa Anna winds or something. My car claimed
85F on the drive home yesterday. Fortunately, it's dry here when it's
hot. Hardly anyone has a/c here, but a ceiling fan works well enough.

Ladies dig out their stashes of shorts and halter tops and people lay
naked on the grass in Dolores Park and watch the Blue Angels roar
over, mutual gawking I guess.
