Several states, some as far north as NY and CT, have already started issuing advisories. It doesn't have to be a scrape, it can be eaten in raw or undercooked shellfish.

Who Is Most at Risk:

Anyone can get a wound infection. People with liver disease, cancer, or diabetes, and those over 40 or with weakened immune systems, are more likely to get an infection and have severe complications.

foods. Never get near sharp objects, like forks or knives or paper
clips. Don't read, or you will get paper cuts and lose a hand.

Risk should be managed intelligently, not by ancient fear reflexes.

1 PPM per year is not a risk to restrict your life. Wingsuits are.
