The spam is out of hand.
Contact the Usenet Big-8 management and ask them to block
google-groups from posting to the Big-8 Usenet hierarchies.
It is the only way to get Google to do anything. This may be
an inconvenience to some but there are other ways of connecting
to usenet for serious users. If Google responds to the Big-8
managements satisfaction, it can be reinstated. We need the
Big-8 to act as an advocate for its usenet users.

I've (hopefully) temporarily blocked any post that has a GMail address
in the "From:" field.
It's the only way I found to kill the clutter.

As usual, a a doesn't say why he considers Wango Tango to be an off-topic troll, which makes a a the off-topic troll here, as he has been reminding us in heroic volume for months.

He's been an off-topic troll since he started posting here. He might have started off thinking that he had something to contribute, but his posts weren't seen as valuable contributions by people who post here regularly, and - rather than recognising that he didn't understand what a valuable contribution might look like - he decided he was being persecuted (which he was, but he had earned all the persecution he got) and started calling us all various unpleasant kinds of trolls.

It is spam, and I've taken to making his posts as spam, but Google hasn't got around to blocking him yet, or the Indonesian gambling site ads ether.

They claim to take spam seriously, and used to discard it from time to time, but seem to have been overwhelmed recently.

Well at least he got off the 'coronary' sun activity craze...and linking government scientific agency websites that flatly contradict everything he says and believes.

At that stage he was a least trying to post informative content, or perhaps merely trying to look as if he were. Now he's just positing his own personal - remarkably ill-informed - opinion. In real life he may have gotten florid enough to qualify for a spell in a mental hospital. Flyguy has been quiet recently, which probably means that he has finally been put away.
