That suffix is part of the Greco-Latin scientific vocabulary of
Western culture and as such can be found across the languages of
the Western world, at least in scientific jargon and vocabulary
that originated there.

In Dutch it's short for "of iets dergelijks", "or sth like that" (oslt),
which seems to fit nicely many cases, lol* (:

Human oid, human oslt

Otherwise it is -oide: androide.

* "lol" is just "fun" in Dutch, which fits nicely the acronym. Luckily
they didn't make it "lul".
