I've never heard of that. BAR is a popular magazine that goes for
sensation over fact -- its main advertisers are antiquities dealers,
the ones who may not be terribly careful about the provenance
of the items the offer, and the promoters of "Holy Land" tours,
and they were big boosters of the Hobby Lobby Museum. Surprisingly,
the editor is not a fundie Xian but an attorney, some variety of Jewish.
