Shellfish poisoning of dogs on coast confirmed

Earlier this month two dogs died after eating washed-up fish along the Norfolk and Suffolk coast.

Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (EIFCA) said it was "highly likely" both dogs died from paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP).

Dead crabs and fish washed up on Teesside beaches

An investigation is under way after dead crabs, lobsters and fish were washed up along part of the North East coast.

Such wash-ups have been reported at Bran Sands at Redcar, Seaton Carew and Saltburn in the past few weeks.

A dead porpoise was also photographed at South Gare, near the mouth of the River Tees, at the weekend

In many threads speaking of Aquatic Ape, right here in this group,
threads you participated in, disease is one of the things that
would have driven waterside groups inland.

....I specifically mentioned Red Tide. In fact I just did a rudimentary
search on "JTEM" and "Red Tide" and found posts going back to
2017. Given this is not the only group I've participated in over the
years, and the Google search function sucks rotten eggs, their
could be many more, or others going back further.
