What mainstream math academics think is quite easily refuted.

From my HGT, it is easily seen that [f(x+h)-f(x)]/h = f'(x) + Q(x,h) cannot be separated, that is, one can't do stupid things like let Q(x,h) which is the slope difference to approach zero, because then the non-parallel secant line slope on the left hand side, that is, [f(x+h)-f(x)]/h would no longer be equal to the right hand side, since the right hand side is f'(x) + Q(x,h).

Thus, for example, given f(x)=x^2, x = 1 and h = 2, then [f(3)-f(1)]/2 = 4 = 2x + h = 2(1)+2 =/= 2(1) + 0 = 2

Therefore, the bullshit of limit theory is instantly dismissed because it is neither required nor is it valid.

Moreover, if we cancel out Q(x,h), that is, Q(1,2) from the above, then the right hand side no longer produces the correct definite integral.

Area of f '(X) from x to x + h = h * [f'(x)+Q(x,h)] = 2 * [ f'(1) + Q(1,2)] = 2*[2 + 2] = 8

and this agrees with f(x+h)-f(x) which gives the correct area f(3)-f(1)=9-1 = 8.

Hence, the HGT is an ingenious theorem that is proved in my free article for ALL smooth functions:

We never "ignore" Q. It is always there. It just goes to zero when h goes to 0. Simple and easy to understand.
