Some people are reported to have up to 4% Neanderthal
and/or up to 6% Denisovan...

The worse part? This explanation only BEGINS to spell out
the issues! Like, when a more recent ancestor to that 8th
generation grandfather marries another more recent ancestor
of that 8th generation ancestor...

Communities used to be pretty close knit. I've heard it said
that railroads changed the genetic makeup of villagers
because suddenly people could reach & marry others outside
their immediate area.

Seems like war would have accomplished this starting
thousands of years ago.
