0.1 *4 *4 == 1'600i^3 = 1.6m^3
1 *4 *4 = 16m^3 Alias :10i *40i *40i =16'000i^3

In a sense, 0.1 is used to equate m^2 and m^3.
since 1000i^3 = 10 times 100i^2.
It is enough to be able to distinguish 1m^3 (given by 3 factors) from 1m^2.
Indeed 1*1=1m^2 as 1*1*1=1m^3.. Other than 1 = neutral.

If 1 were neutral you would say that 0.1 *1 *10 = 1i *100i = 1m^2.
So..might as well..Eliminate the blessed m.=10i..100c..1000•
Instead ..1i *10i *100i = 1000i^3 = 1m^3... like..... 0.1 *1 *10 = 1m^3
In fact 1 is a fake neutral to avoid saying 10i *100i =1000i^2 =10m^2.

Dear Master, I believe that many have understood that for many m2 there are many m^3.
But they would prefer that cubes... did not exist, just as m^2 does not exist...
For them there is only the miserable Linear function, otherwise how would they say

that 0.1 *1 *2 = 0.2onions and not 1i *10i *20i = 200kg. as 5i *10i *20i =1000i^3 = 1m^3.
Maybe m^3 make them to taste ... If 4*4*4 = 64m^3.. what would be the correct equation?
Maybe - 64m^3 + 2 *4 *8 = 0 ? Alias -1*8*8 +64m^3 =0..alias - 0.5 *8 *16 + 64m^3 = 0 ???

2 *2^3 ==16m^3 Aliases
1 *2 *8 ==16m^3
0.5*4*8 = 16m^3
0.5*2*16 =16m^3 => Whatever they are : 3 factors give the relative Volume.

If the integers are tens of dm..use the dm to understand-:)))

In fact 0.4 and it's not defined, so don't say 0.4m^3 = 400kg.
