In perusing the Semitic roots appendix of AHD, however, I found two things that caught my attention:

1. the root ṣpp ("to press down, cover, overlay"), which has a variant ṣwp, also has the quadriliteral form ṣpṣp

Sbb = spp domeshield

Hayyim Nahman Bialik used a different word, kirkar (from the root krkr – "to spin")

From Language Log:

" In perusing the Semitic roots appendix of AHD, however, I found two things that caught my attention:
1. the root ṣpp ("to press down, cover, overlay"), which has a variant ṣwp, also has the quadriliteral form ṣpṣp "
Sbb = spp wrt domeshield (Note: Arab & Berber tents were circular skin tents, Beduin tents were rectangular goat-hair tents)

So we see the (spin around/cover) links in Hebrew, sbb = spp = swp (sevivon/swerve/sweep/swab/swap) = spsp <= XYuamB

> Hayyim Nahman Bialik used a different word, kirkar (from the root krkr – "to spin")

encircle/rotate kirkar = krkr = krkl = circle/circuit/cycle/coracle/KuphaRiGoLu/Gopher-/gufa/topa@Hindi: coracle
