So the thing is automatically populating the apps bar at the bottom of the
home screen, based on some idiotic routine that mistakenly thinks it can
predict what I want on the bottom of the home screen.

Is that correct, or am I missing something?

Is there some way to STOP it?

Is there some way to get what I want, down there?
