I am still on Android 10 with my Galaxy S9+ and after reading about
what 11 does I don't think I want to update. Is there a way to
prevent this without getting nagged to death every time it wants to
update?

Are you actually getting those nags? I doubt if Samsung is offering
Android 11 on the S9+.

I went from Android 10 to Android 11 and barely noticed anything, although I
hadn't known about some changes (e.g., the default camera lockdown).

However, I too get nagged to death with Android security updates (for the
past couple of years on my Moto & Samsung they update essentially monthly).

Out of curiosity, what is scaring you away? I've installed every OS update
and monthly security/feature drop as they came along on my Pixel phones and
only ever found that the phone either 1. seemed to stay almost then same
for daily use or 2. had some pretty useful improvements. I'm looking
forward to 12 coming along this Autumn with zero trepidation. YMMV

What is a default camera lockdown? Does that have something to do with
Corona?
