Android 10, Moto G Stylus 2020

I just need to delete the large video files taken by its camera.

It has 128 GB of RAM but I use it as a bodycam (better than my dedicated body
cam).

I need to efficiently delete the videos it has already taken.

But they seem to stick around like they've been put in a recycle bin (don't
know where).

They show as taking up space in Storage > Photos & videos until after I tap on
Images, then they disappear (because they have already been deleted).

They have been deleted but they are still taking up space.

How do I simply permanently delete the things? Do I need an app to do that?

The comparable action in Windows is Shift + Delete the selected files.

Thanks.

In the Photos app, there may be an album labelled "Bin". You can
"empty" that.

Thanks for trying, but no go. Says there is nothing in there, at the same
time the above is still true, "Images" shows almost 80 GB UNTIL it's
clicked on then it shows nothing in there.

Yes, it certainly looks like a recycle bin, but how to empty the darn
thing... When accessed from my PC, looks like they have "trashed" as part
of their file name.

On my Google Pixel 5/Android 11 it is labelled "bin". Perhaps an
upgrade will produce the results you want? Sorry to hear it's not
working otherwise.

I wasn't disputing your location, maybe I should've said "here". No surprise
the location varies.

Maybe there are settings for more control, somewhere. I might look later.

There appears to be a shortcut...

Photos > upper right hand tap > Select > then select stuff > upper right hand
tap again > remove from device

Takes minutes (I guess) to remove tens of gigabytes videos, but it works.

It did work.
