Fate of the pilots is always the number one concern, but saving those discussion for other threads, is it true that gliders are being damaged this year at a higher than normal rate?

Since many pilots flew little or not at all in 2020, is the rate of breakage more than a statistical anomaly? Can anything be done to reduce the breakage rate? Aside from the obvious downsides to pilots, and the effect on insurance rates and availability, the loss of flyable gliders, especially flyable trainers is going to hurt the sport.

Could it be spike proteins from the covid vaccines crossing the blood brain barrier and affecting cognition? General aviation crashes seem to be up. Lots of reports of recent increases in stupidity. Maybe it is just the normal summer bump in carnage.

Gregg, I think that you are on to something, the stupidity syndrome, maybe more Biden voters are flying. Old Bob, The Purist

Gregg,
Having read your posts on RAS I'm sure you have no risk of the vaccine crossing the blood brain barrier.
