Hi Steve,

I created an overview and training video for the Nano4. It is available here:
https://www.patreon.com/posts/lxnav-nano4-31514264

An anti-glare plastic screen protector from BoxWave.com would solve the reflective screen issue mentioned by Phil. I don't think it is necessary though.

I like the Nano4. It is reliable and has a nice screen size. It is a little slow to change screens and zoom in and out, but not bad for its price.

The Oudie N is already much more popular. It is faster, brighter, higher resolution, more features, etc. It will be a great option - especially when the IGC version of the Oudie N becomes available in the future. But the Oudie N is much more expensive.

It’s competitor, the Colibri X, advertises that it has a transflective display and is sunlight readable. The Nano4 says it has a retina display and on the LXNav product page there is a good picture of it in a cockpit in flight. You can see the reflections in it as an example of what it might look like in use. There is also a short video on YouTube from the cockpit of a glider on final comparing the display of the LX9000, Oudie2 and Nano4 all mounted side by side (though progressively closer.) You can get a sense of how each would look in flight but there are no reflections at all given the sun angle.

I've used mine for two seasons.
Great .IGC recorder and backup navigator to your home field. I do glance at it from time to time when thermaling as it has a nice thermal assistant.
It is definitely not a primary flight computer; too small, too hard to switch screens and interact with.
I find the computer software to be a bit difficult to use for task entry.
The Nano4 is best left alone in the cockpit.
Have an Oudie and the Nano 4 for backup. Or, if you primarily stick around your home field, this will be all you need for simple navigation home.

The touch screen is nothing like your iphone, but works well enough.
