Absolutely they do. ICE fires generally are the result of accidents, or
overheating when driven. Very seldom in the middle of the night when
parked in a garage.

Here's an NTSB report of another car fire on a cargo ship. This one
cause by an incorrectly disconnected battery. Damn electrons!

Yep. Small electrical heater for the PVC valve shorts out. I've never
had an electrical heater on a PVC valve, so hasn't been a problem for
me. German engineering at its finest.

German solar cell company just shut down remotely energy storage units
after three explosions in home units:

The company itself is a little slower to rush to judgement, saying
there's no indication the units are defective. Apparently raising the
roof is considered normal operation.
