I confirmed with <https://eSIM.me> that Ubigi and Dent work with their
eSIM adapter.

It appears that any eSIM provider that supplies a QR code for loading an
eSIM profile will work, but if the eSIM provider can only load the eSIM
profile via their own Android App, then it won't work.

Why does any of this matter? For foreign travel you can buy a data-only
plan, via eSIM, for less money, and with less hassle, than ordering a
prepaid foreign SIM card. You won't get a voice number but you can still
make calls with various VOIP apps (Google Voice if you have it set up
and you're from the U.S., or something like Localphone (not free, but
cheap) to rent an incoming number)).
