I purchased a Samsung 256GB MicroSD card from Amazon
<https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B1GXM16>.

I put it into a 128GB Android tablet (Android 11) and formatted it for
use as internal storage.

It shows up as 512GB, see <https://i.imgur.com/rth6iN8.jpeg>

Is Samsung doing something strange here? Did they label some 512GB
MicroSD cards as 256GB? Or is this some kind of bug in Android 11?

I normally use my iPad Pro for most tasks but there are some
applications and capabilities that the iPad and iOS don't have and that
I needed, so I bought an inexpensive Android tablet with cellular
connectivity <https://www.staples.com/product_IM19MN494>.

Now that the MicroSD card is formatted for internal storage and has a
bunch of stuff on it, I don't want to remove it and reformat it to see
if I get the same result in other devices.
