Looking for better mail pp for Android. Free is preferable.
GMail is terrible.
Motorola Ace 5G phone with no sophisticated mail app.
It is the verizon downgraded Ace. Cheap ass verizon ! Less memory and
who knows what else taken away and at a price of the full up version
provided elsewhere.

Tried Outlook and it stinks.
Has terrible voice to text and keeps wanting to scroll what I input off
the viewing area when trying to exit. M$ does not know how to write an
email app. Junk.
Outlook Voice to text keeps quitting or hanging up and I have to keep
punching icons to make it re-engage.
Does not have auto BCC to myself option so I loose what I send. Want
for my records. Things in menus that should be ICONS.

Prefer mail app provider that uses no servers to store my emails.
I can store my emails on my multiple NAS farm. Or BCC to another
provider as a last resort.

Likewise. I tried K9 but at the time it wasn't willing to download
email ONLY when requested -- like the native gmail app. I would want to
use my phone for email perhaps twice a year. BlueMail works fine and
deals with multiple accounts.

That is an issue with push on all clients. Permanent listening is very
energy-consuming.

Thanks all who suggested K-9 mail.

Most recent version is a "stable version"

I loaded it and added my four accounts and set it up exactly how I
needed it for my personal preferences. Two Outlook and two GMail accounts.

Lots of good options.

Looks like it will serve me well.

If not, I will let you all know.

I have polling disabled and push enabled for my 1st class folders in K9 (so I
exclude archive folders) IDLE refresh is 24 minutes and regularly get 3+ days
battery life

The people complaining about battery life almost always have either (or
both) small batteries or they leave all their radios always left on.

The solution for them isn't a different mail client but a phone with a
bigger battery and/or settings (or apps) that automatically turn unused
radios off.

The OP multi-posted the same article in the Windows 7 newsgroup. Some
of the OP's inquiry didn't make sense there, either.
