The GMail app is most likely there on your phone since it's on all Android
phones as far as I know, unless it's been deleted by the owner.

Since it's likely on your phone, just search for the "GMail" app.

There is a search engine inside almost every app drawer app.

If you can't find your app drawer app to run that search, then download any
app drawer app from Google Play Store and run that search.

If you can't find an app drawer app, then download any app manager app.
Both will list all the apps on your phone even if the icon is hidden.

On my phone, there is a "Google" icon. Gmail is one of the apps inside
it (it's a group rather than an individual app).
