That's true, but it can still be done on a personal level. this principle applies in many things these days. we decide our own level of involvement, the government can't and won't save everyone.

climate change, by the way, is a way for certain people to channel their anxiety about the coming war into something less disturbing. it is more pleasant to think of x cm sea level rise ~50 years from now. For many people fretting, chatting, drinking their starbucks, that's not even in their lifetime. The actual truth is their anxiety is caused by something far more immediate, and the next war will precipitate climate change many orders of magnitude greater than anything these people are talking about.
