A sobering look at laboratory "chemical gardens" where remarkably life-like structures are produced. They are compared to identifications of multi-Gya
microbial fossils. Say it ain't so.

The possibility of inorganic deposits being mistaken for archaean fossils is being taken inot account:

Definitely relevant to the future examination of rocks recovered from Mars, as well as putative "homemade" fossils.
